If you have difficulty installing PC Access for Windows from your factory
original PC Access diskettes or you suspect that a one or more of your
factory original PC Access diskette(s)
has a virus or bad sector, you can Download Replacement Disk(s).
You may find this method more convenient than
Installing PC Access from the Hard Disk.
You may download replacement disk(s) if you are running anyone of the
following PC Access versions:

- Click the link to the disk image file(s) you need to download. Save the
disk image file(s) to the C:\TEMP folder on your hard drive. If you
do not have a C:\TEMP folder on your hard drive, use Windows
Explorer to create one.

your Windows Help File, click Start | Help.
- In the WinZip Self-Extractor window, click Unzip.
WinZip will extract the contents of the disk image file to the 3.5" disk
in drive A:\.
- A WinZip Self-Extractor window will display this message:
" file(s) unzipped successfully". Click OK to close this window.
Click Close to exit WinZip.
- Remove the 3.5" disk from drive A:\.
- If you downloaded more than one PC Access disk image file, repeat steps 3 - 9
for the remaining disk image file(s)
- Use the disk(s) you just created to Install PC Access.

There are two PC Access 4.20.120 Build versions, 4.20.120 and 4.20.120b. Before you
can download a replacement disk, you need to know what Build version you are running.
Follow the instructions below to determine your Build version.
- Insert one of your PC Access Disks into your 3.5" diskette drive. In
the example below, we will use disk 2.
- Click Start |
Programs | MS-DOS Prompt.
- In the MS-DOS Prompt window, type:
A:
DIR
- Note: The instructions above, assume that your 3.5" diskette
drive is A:.
- Look for the DATA2.CAB file.
- Note: PC Access will replace the number 2 in
the DATA2.CAB file name
with the number of the disk you inserted into your diskette drive.
For example, If you inserted disk 3 into your diskette drive, the
file name will be DATA3.CAB.
- Look at the date on the DATA2.CAB file.
If the date is 06-27-97 you
are running Build 4.20.120 and can continue with the
instructions below. If the
date is 07-14-97 you
are running Build 4.20.120b and should follow these instructions
to download a replacement disk.
- Click the link to the disk image file(s) you need to download. Save the
disk image file(s) to the C:\TEMP folder on your hard drive. If you
do not have a C:\TEMP folder on your hard drive, use Windows
Explorer to create one.

- Note: There are two PC Access 4.20.120 Build versions, 4.20.120 and 4.20.120b.

instructions here. If you already know you are running build version 4.20.120b,
continue with the instructions below
