If your proxy server or firewall prevents, or does not properly route the Windows 16-bit TCP/IP-Winsock calls through the SOCKS driver; your firewall or proxy server will block all calls to the Windows 16-bit TCP/IP-Winsock driver.There are several firewall and proxy software packages available. Each one with its own solution to the TCP-Telnet 609 Error. MFM has documented solutions for several of these firewalls and proxy servers.
